A brief history...
In 1972, Edward Bordeleau, a graduate of the North Bennett St. School Dept. of Piano Technology established a piano tuning and repair business in Bedford, NH. In 1984 he expanded the business to include piano rebuilding and refinishing. The firm moved to Hooksett the following year when Ed bought a house with a large attached barn which he converted into the workshop and display room.

By 1998 Pianoarts had outgrown its shop and needed additional display space. In October 1998 Pianoarts opened a showroom at 1558 Hooksett Road, with an expanded inventory and greater selection. In 2001 Jan Bordeleau joined the firm as its Sacred and Christian music specialist. Pianoarts also added Viscount classical and gospel organs to their product lines to further serve the church market.

January 2005 saw the establishment of the Lessons department, overseen by Paul Bordeleau, past president of the New Hampshire Music Teachers Association. Although Pianoarts no longer offers on-site lessons, we continue to refer outstanding teachers. For more on piano and organ lessons, click the Lessons link below.

Most recently, Pianoarts has consolidated the operations to 316 Whitehall Road, which is currently being remodelled in order to better serve our customers.

Our goal at Pianoarts, Inc. is to match the piano to the needs of the pianist. Click here to read about our philosophy.
